This one-day lifesaving workshop CALM (Connect, Ask, Listen, Monitor) teaches you how to carry out life-saving interventions for someone who may be thinking about ending their own life. This workshop will help you recognise the subtle warning signs that are often missed or overlooked, how to open up a conversation in a comfortable manner, and know what to say. Above all it will empower you to œkeep CALM. This is an evidence and lived experience informed program.
We deliver training in a supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment, accepting each individual's differences, with consideration and adaptation for their culturally diverse needs. The CALM program is also written to meet cultural differences within our communities. The program is tailored to meet the unique needs of specific groups i.e. youth, men, LGBTIQ, and members of the general community, and achieves this using group specific resources.
